“Fleet Is the Sand” by BSC’s Own Patricia Scott Published on Enchanted Conversation!
Today I am very pleased to share with all of our readers the news that a beautiful story by our own Geek Girl, Patricia Scott has been published over at Enchanted Conversation: A Fairy Tale Magazine. “Fleet Is the Sand” is a winner of the site’s bi-monthly contest. It is an original fairy tale that pulls from the Middle Eastern tradition, stories like “Aladdin and the Magic Lamp,” “Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves,” and “Sinbad the Sailor.” The protagonist is a brave, resourceful young man fighting seemingly impossible odds, and the magic is an integrated and undeniable part of everyday life for his people.
It’s a true short story, quick to read but full of big ideas. By far the best use of 10 minutes you can possibly spend today!
Very huge congratulations to Patricia for writing such a fantastic story and hat tip to Enchanted Conversation’s editor for recognizing that!
