“PLMII’s Spilling the Ink” – Living with my IPAD – update
It’s been a few months since I wrote “PLMII’s Spilling the Ink” – Living with my IPAD, so does my love affair with my IPAD continue?
Absolutely!
I have recently added a Bluetooth keyboard to my IPAD and my writing sessions have soared. While the digital keyboard on the IPAD is responsive it does not work for long stretches of writing, like I tend to do. I fell in love with my new little keyboard as quickly as my IPAD connected with it. My personal laptop has now been regulated to just final editing and digital work required for book production. To be honest if I could do that on my IPAD, my old laptop would be a thing of the past.
To be quite honest, at least to me, my IPAD feels like the writing tool I had been wishing for and I could not be happier. IAWriter is a wonderful stripped down writing app and for the very first time I do not find myself missing MS Word. This new writing setup has allowed me to get back to basics, it feels almost like I am curled up in front of an old typewriter and letting my imagination flow with no distractions. Computers can be a bit distracting to a writer trying to finish a story and more than once while using my laptop, I often get lost on the internet when I should have been writing. That obstacle is gone now thanks to my trusty IPAD and my keyboard.
So writers and bloggesr out there, try the IPAD as your new writing tool. You may just find it to be your best creative tool.
