6th Annual Book Tournament Round 6 – Championship

By on April 4, 2012

After five long rounds, we’re finally down to the end. Our field of 64 champions has been whittled down to two contenders who remain in the running for the best book of 2011 as determined by BooksSpot Central readers. Our dark horse Prospero Regained offered a champion’s byline for the undecided/unfamiliar to use in deciding which book to vote in. And now, one last time…to the lists!

Westeros champion 16. Prospero Regained by L. Jagi Lamplighter vs. Malazan Empire champion 5. Shadowfever by Karen Marie Moning

Prospero Regained: “Neil Gaiman meets C.S. Lewis or, for an American equivalent, Roger Zelazny meets Lloyd Alexander…Miranda’s family is lost in Hell. Can she find her siblings and rescue her father before midnight on Twelfth Night–when the Dread Magician Prospero is to be executed? The stunning climax to this modern sequel to Shakespeare’s classic The Tempest.”

Polls will be open until April 10–time to read the two and decide their merits on your own…or time to clear your cookies twenty times and vote again!
